September opening
Nursery Opening Tuesday 1st September
As promised, I am writing to you, to clarify some detail regarding the full re-opening of nursery in September.
We are opening the nursery using a “nursery bubble” system, as part of a risk assessed plan for safer opening. A “bubble” is a group of children who keep together, we are operating a nursery bubble
as social distancing is an impossible task within a nursery setting and all children will be mixing with each other.
Start /Finish Arrangements
In order to make the start and end of the school day safer and manageable, Parents will not be permitted into the building, unless absolutely necessary and/or by appointment only. (Appointments with
staff should be arranged by ringing the nursery.) Mask will need to be worn by any parent entering the setting in accordance with the community centre guidelines.
All children will wash or sanitise their hands on entry and departure from the building
Toys from home .
Toys or any other items from home will not be allowed into the nursery please keep these safe at home. The only exception to this are lunchboxes, coats, outdoor footwear and prams (as a last resort
only.)
Cleaning of door handles ,equipment and other prominent surfaces will continue throughout the day
I know there is a lot of anxiety regarding our return to Nursery, but we have put in place all the measures as stipulated by the government and Public Health England, please rest assured that we will
do out utmost to ensure everyone is safe. I have been provided with the contact numbers of the local public health teams, should we have any covid cases, and we will adapt our plans if we need
to.
Thank you for your continued support
